Real estate software development

You’re managing more properties every year, but your software hasn’t kept up. Residents want everything on their phone, while your team still juggles spreadsheets and separate tools. We build proptech software for real estate operators with the same senior teams that deliver for Microsoft, AT&T, and Royal Caribbean.

You’ll be talking with our technology experts.

Real estate software we’ve built, from Qatar to California

binyousef

Product discovery for a property management platform in Qatar

Bin Yousef, a Qatari business group founded in 1978 whose real estate arm manages more than 100 villas and apartments, wanted to move every in-person tenant and landlord interaction into one digital platform for the Qatar and UK markets.

Our product lead, two designers, and three solution architects interviewed tenants, landlords, contractors, and property managers. Then they delivered user journeys, wireframes for every product version, feature priorities, and a full product blueprint with the solution architecture for the build.

proptia

A touchless access app for gated communities

A California access platform for gated and multifamily communities, including student housing, had a web app and a basic mobile app that couldn’t keep up with its growth plans. It needed native apps built from scratch, with complex IoT features for touchless entry.

We designed and built native iOS and Android apps that let residents open gates with their phone, issue visitor passes, register vehicles, browse the resident directory, and raise maintenance tickets. We connected them to the existing web platform, and we still maintain the app and add new features.

Developing a full range of Real estate solutions

Tenant and resident platforms

Tenant and resident platforms

We build the apps and portals your residents use every day: applying for a unit, signing a lease, paying rent, checking the resident directory, and getting updates from your team. All in one place, on any phone.

proptech access visitor management 1

Access, security, and visitor management

Residents open the gate with their phone. Guests get a pass that only works for the hours you set. Registered vehicles get in without stopping at the booth. We connect the app to your locks, gates, and readers.

proptech operations maintenance 1

Property operations and maintenance

A resident reports a leaking faucet in the app. Your team assigns it, the contractor gets the job details, and everyone can see the status. Admins manage every property from one dashboard.

Modernizing and connecting existing systems

Modernizing and connecting existing systems

You don’t have to throw out what works. We rebuild the parts that hold you back and connect the rest, so your accounting, access, and resident tools share the same data.

The Process — How we get you from day one to launch and beyond.

01

Research your market and users

We study the property platforms your residents and staff already use, and note what works and what’s missing. Then we interview the people your product has to serve: tenants, landlords, contractors, and property managers. We ask how they handle applications, rent, and repairs today, and where things break down. You get the findings in their own words, plus the patterns we spotted across interviews.

02

Map journeys for every user

Each user group gets its own journey, from first contact to everyday use. A tenant’s path runs through applying, moving in, and reporting a broken heater. A contractor’s runs through getting the job, accessing the unit, and closing the ticket. We list the core features each group needs at every step. That’s where the gaps between groups become obvious.

03

Design and prioritize the product

Our designers turn the journeys into wireframes, which are simple screen layouts you can click through before anything is built. We wireframe each version of the product, so you can see how it grows after the first release. Then we run prioritization sessions with your team to decide what goes into the first build and what can wait. Every decision ties back to what users told us in research.

04

Plan architecture and scope the build

Our solution architects design the technical foundation: where the data lives, how the apps talk to each other, and how the platform grows with your portfolio. We map every third-party integration, from payments to gate hardware to your accounting software. Then we estimate the build in detail, feature by feature. You see the timeline, team, and budget before you commit to development.

WHY PROPERTY OPERATORS WORK WITH US

Product-minded engineering

Our 90+ engineers made it through a hiring process only 1.5% of applicants pass. They ask why a feature matters to your residents before building it, and push back when it won’t pay off.

1 team, 1 project

The team on your platform works on nothing else. No one splits their week between your resident app and another client, so they learn how your properties run and care how it turns out.

Technical project managers

No chief technology officer (CTO) on your side? Our project managers come from engineering. They explain technical choices in plain business terms and keep the build on track, so you’re never deciding blind.

Extreme transparency

You see what we see. Daily standups, weekly check-ins, and bi-weekly demos keep you close to the work, and you can talk to anyone on the team, not just the project manager.

Book a product discovery call

Tell us about your properties and what’s slowing your team down. We’ll get back to you within 24 hours and connect you with the right experts.

Don’t worry, any information you give us will only be stored for business purposes. Find out more in our Privacy Policy.

Still unsure about something?

Don’t worry, whatever it is, we’ve got you covered in our FAQ.

A validated concept, a journey map and feature list for every user group, wireframes for each product version, and a technical plan with a scoped estimate for the build. You see the timeline, team, and budget before you commit to development.

Yes. We take full ownership, from discovery and design through development, quality assurance (QA), and long-term support. You don’t need to hire a technical lead first. You get one point of contact who explains each decision in business terms and flags risks early. You make the calls on priorities and budget. We handle the technical work and show you progress every two weeks.

In most cases, yes. During discovery, we check which devices you have, what each manufacturer allows outside software to connect to, and where a workaround is needed. We’ve solved this outside real estate too. For a UK fitness company, we moved its app off the company’s own Bluetooth protocol so it works with other manufacturers’ equipment. If a device can’t be connected, you’ll hear it from us early, before it affects the budget.

Yes, if you want us to. The team that built your platform keeps supporting it. They fix issues, keep it working with new phone operating system versions, and add features as your portfolio grows. The team can grow or shrink as your needs change. Multi-site scale is familiar ground. We built and kept developing an app used by 70,000 Royal Caribbean crew members across 40 ships.
