Your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications,
  • Actively participate in code reviews and ensure the delivery of functional and efficient code,
  • Mentor colleagues and promote best practices within the team,
  • Identify and resolve software issues and defects.

We expect

  • At least 2 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer,
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, with a focus on Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js, React.js, Angular, or other JavaScript frameworks,
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle,
  • Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail,
  • Full professional fluency in English and Croatian.

Bonus bodovi

  • Experience working with the Ruby programming language,
  • Experience developing with JavaScript technologies (Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, Next.js, etc.),
  • Personal or professional projects published on GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar platforms.

  • Hybrid work model – Sometimes it’s nice to stay home and work in comfort. Remote days are always available, with the number depending on seniority: juniors have 74 remote days per year, mid-level roles 110, and seniors 165.
  • Fully remote work – If you’re a Developer or QA and don’t live in Zagreb, or prefer to work entirely from home, we offer a full remote option for mid-level and senior roles.
  • Voluntary pension contributions (third pillar) – If you want to invest more in your future, you can opt into third-pillar pension contributions. The amount you choose is automatically deducted from your gross salary.
  • Housing support – We offer rent reimbursement through a gross salary deduction.
  • Loyalty rewards – We mark the milestones. You’ll receive a reward after 3, 5, 8, 10, 15, and 20 years with DECODE.

  • Referral bonus for new clients – If you help bring in a new client, you receive a bonus for expanding our network.
  • Performance bonus – We like to end the year on a high note. When the company does well, everyone shares in the bonus. You receive a bonus based on company performance, with the amount defined by role, tenure, and one month’s gross salary.
